About Nahla
Hello! I’m a piano tutor with 9 years of teaching experience and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Piano Studies. I am passionate about helping students actively participate in their learning while exploring the joy of musical storytelling. My lessons focus on creating a well-rounded training experience that balances technique, theory, and creative expression.
I adapt each lesson to suit the student’s level and goals, blending history, musical context, and performance skills to make learning engaging and meaningful. Students learn not just to play notes, but to bring music to life through interpretation and expression. I enjoy guiding learners through classical masterpieces as well as contemporary pieces, helping them discover their own musical voice.
My approach includes sight-reading, improvisation, rhythm, and dynamics, encouraging students to experiment and grow confidently. I have experience teaching a wide range of levels, from beginners exploring the keyboard to advanced performers preparing for exams or recitals. Technology such as metronomes and virtual piano apps is also incorporated to track progress and reinforce practice at home.
I strive to create a supportive environment where students feel motivated to reach their potential. Every lesson is an opportunity to develop skill, confidence, and a love for music. My piano lessons are designed to help students grow both technically and creatively. I focus on building a strong foundation in technique, finger strength, and posture while making lessons enjoyable and engaging. Sight-reading and music theory are integrated from the start so students can read and interpret music confidently.
Improvisation is encouraged to develop creativity and musical expression, allowing students to explore their own style. I include exercises in rhythm, dynamics, and phrasing to strengthen overall musicality. Progress tracking is an essential part of my teaching, using regular practice goals and performance reviews to measure improvement.
I incorporate technology such as virtual piano apps and metronomes to support practice, timing, and accuracy. Lessons also include structured preparation for exams or recitals, helping students perform at their best. I adapt lessons to each student’s pace and goals, whether they aim to master classical pieces or explore modern styles.
By combining technique, theory, improvisation, and technology, I ensure students develop confidence and skill at the piano. Every lesson encourages growth, creativity, and a deeper love for music. Students leave feeling motivated and ready to excel in any musical challenge.
