About Maia
My teaching approach balances strong fundamentals with creative exploration, helping each student grow as a musician. I focus on finger technique, sight-reading, music theory, and keyboard skills to build a solid foundation. Lessons also include chord voicing, rhythmic grooves, jazz improvisation, and developing the ability to play by ear. I encourage students to listen actively, experiment with sounds, and create their own musical ideas. Digital tools like MIDI software and notation apps make learning interactive and engaging. I tailor my approach to support students who aim to achieve specific goals, as well as adults learning for enjoyment. For exam preparation, I provide structured guidance and practice strategies to excel with confidence. For hobbyists, I focus on creativity, enjoyment, and practical application of skills. Through this approach, students gain both technical mastery and expressive freedom. Each lesson is personalized to match your interests, whether performing, composing, or improvising. My goal is to make learning piano enjoyable, rewarding, and adaptable to every student’s needs.

I’m a passionate piano teacher with over 3 years of experience and a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Piano. My teaching combines traditional technique with modern technology, creating lessons that are engaging and relevant.
