About Tess
My teaching methodology is designed to create a positive and motivating environment where students feel encouraged to learn and grow. I focus on understanding each student’s unique goals and learning style, tailoring lessons to suit their individual needs. Through consistent motivation, I help students build confidence in their skills and enjoy the process of learning Piano. I ensure that concepts are explained clearly and effectively, making complex topics in music theory, performance, and composition easy to understand. I also encourage students to ask questions, share ideas, and actively participate in their learning, which helps strengthen their understanding and creativity. Empathy and problem-solving are central to my methodology. I patiently guide students through challenges, helping them find solutions and develop critical thinking skills. I also emphasise accountability, encouraging students to stay committed to practice and track their progress. Beyond Piano, I apply these methods to related subjects, creating a well-rounded, supportive, and structured learning experience for every student.

With 8 years of teaching experience, I provide Piano lessons to students of all ages, including school and college students, as well as working professionals. I focus on making learning enjoyable and accessible, helping students develop a strong foundation in music theory, performance, and composition. My goal is to create a learning environment where students feel motivated and confident to explore their musical abilities. My teaching philosophy centres on understanding each student’s individual goals and adapting lessons to fit their needs. I believe in combining patience, encouragement, and clear guidance to help students progress at their own pace. I emphasise not just technical skills, but also creativity, expression, and a deep appreciation for music. Over the years, I have guided many students to achieve notable accomplishments, including successful exam completions, public performances, and developing their own unique musical styles. My approach is flexible, structured, and dedicated to helping every student reach their full potential while enjoying the journey of learning Piano.
