About Siena
My teaching methodology emphasizes body awareness, calm focus, and expressive control at the piano. I guide students in maintaining natural hand arches and fluid motion across the keys, fostering ease and preventing tension.
Visual thinking strategies are central to my approach, helping learners imagine phrasing, dynamics, and musical shapes before playing. This connection between mind and body deepens interpretation and expressive freedom. I encourage students to play with intention, allowing each note to convey meaning and emotion.
Whether a student seeks gentle motivation, structured development, or room for creative imagination, I adapt lessons to support their individual needs. Classical learners benefit from precision and disciplined technique, while jazz-oriented students explore spontaneity, improvisation, and expressive color.
Through mindful practice, students develop confidence, musical awareness, and the ability to communicate through sound. Every lesson balances technical mastery with imaginative exploration. My goal is to cultivate not only skill but also a lifelong connection to music.

With six years of guiding hands and hearts at the piano, I bring the depth and rigor of a Licentiate of Music (LMusA) to every lesson. I see the piano as a storyteller, each piece a canvas where literature, imagery, and emotion intertwine. Together, we explore mood, phrasing, and symbolism, letting the music speak beyond notes on a page.
My teaching nurtures sensitive souls and creative minds, those who long to feel as much as they play. Repertoire becomes a world to inhabit sometimes delicate, sometimes bold always rich with expressive possibility. I encourage students to discover the subtle gestures and hidden narratives within every phrase.
Lessons are a balance of technical guidance and imaginative exploration, where precision meets poetic freedom. Each session invites curiosity, reflection, and the joy of translating thought into sound. We uncover the colors behind melodies, the stories that resonate in silence, and the emotions that linger after the final chord.
