About Mia
I am a german Undergraduate Student at the University of Liverpool and already did some language tutoring while studying the Germany. I studied English, French and Latin in School. Later I started studying Spanish in a school in Bolivia where I learned a lot about language study and how to make them fun and memorable. I may not have a degree in teaching languages but during all the time I spent studying languages myself I picked up a lot of teaching strageties and kept in mind which helped me improve my language skills the most.

I personally think the most important thing is that the student feels comfortable with the teacher and is not afraid to make mistakes. A good teaching environment is an important part of improving your language skills. Especially while studying languages speaking practices are really important. On one hand it helps the student to learn the right pronunciation and getting used to talking in the giving language and on the other hand it helps to student to hear how the language sounds and remembers certain words and phrases faster.
Writing and reading is perfect preparation For the class and helps the student to keep being in engaged with the language. I like to give the student exercises outside of class and to correct and go over them with the student in the next meeting.
