About Annie
Hi! My name is Annie and I have been dancing and performing K-pop for the past 6 years. My dance experience is largely focused on K-pop, but I also train in urban style dance. I have several years of experience teaching K-pop choreographies, as well as coordinating and being a member of different dance crews, both K-pop and non K-pop.
I also have a love of languages and travelling. When I was 18 I spent a year living in Northern China and studying Chinese (Mandarin). Now, I am majoring in Japanese at university, as well as taking classes in Korean and Spanish.

Ever dreamed of making your own K-Pop dance covers? You've come to the right place!
MY EXPERIENCE
Hi! My name is Annie and I have been dancing and performing K-pop for the past 6 years. My dance experience is largely focused on K-pop, but I also train in urban style dance. I have several years of experience teaching K-pop choreographies, as well as coordinating and being a member of different dance crews, both K-pop and non K-pop.
MY TEACHING STYLE
K-pop dance is different from other styles of dances in that it focuses less on individual expression and more on the conformity and cohesiveness of the group. As such, my teaching style has a strong focus on accuracy and sharpness, aiming to get your dancing looking as similar to the idols as possible.
LESSON TYPES
1. Learn A K-Pop Dance of Your Choice
This type of lesson is for those who just want to dance to their favourite groups new song! With this type of lesson, you can choose any section of any K-Pop choreography you want and I will teach it to you. Perfect if you just want to learn your favourite groups choreography, or if you want to make a dance cover!
2. K-Pop Dance Development
This type of lesson is for those who are planning on taking lessons on a regular basis (eg. weekly) and want to improve their K-pop dancing ability. With this type of lesson, I will choose a different K-pop choreography to teach you each lesson, starting at a difficulty level that is appropriate for you and slowly increasing in difficulty as you improve in order to take your dancing to the next level.
3. K-Pop Dance Refinement
This type of lesson is for the K-Pop dancer who has already learnt the dance themselves, but needs help refining their dance to look as similar to the idol as possible. With this type of lesson, you are expected to have learnt the choreography by yourself beforehand. During our lesson I will work with you to analyse your dancing and help you tweak it so that you will look just like your favourite idol! We can also work through any parts of the choreography you don't understand or find difficult until you are able to do them with ease.
4. Group Performance Lessons
This type of lesson is perfect for a group of friends who would like to learn a K-Pop dance together as a group! I will teach you any section you want of a K-Pop song of your choice, including positions and different members parts (so you are able to dance together just like the actual K-pop group!).
Note that for this type of lesson, is it NOT necessary that you have the same number of people as the original K-pop group, as I can adapt the choreography to include more or less people according to your needs.
Also note that the price of my lessons as indicated in this listing is the per-person price for individual lessons. For group lessons, the per-person cost of the lessons will be less.
LESSON LENGTH
The typical length of a lesson is 1-2 hours depending on the difficulty level of the choreography, the students level, and how much of the dance you want to learn.
(1 hour = one verse + chorus of a girl group song, OR just the chorus of a boy group song.
1.5 hours = one verse + chorus of a difficult girl group (eg. Itzy), OR the pre-chorus + chorus of a boy group song
2 hours = one verse + chorus of boy group song.)*

If you would like to learn the full choreography of a song from beginning to the end, it is recommended that you book multiple lessons on different days in order to give yourself time to practice each section of the dance.
As well as the actual in person tutoring, I am also able to provide the student with additional study materials for at home practice, such as mirrored and slowed videos of the dance.
WHO CAN TAKE MY LESSONS?
My lessons are suitable for anybody who has a love of K-pop and a desire to learn K-pop dance. I have a valid working with children check and am happy to teach kids.
ADDITIONAL SERVICES
If you are learning a dance because you would like to make a K-Pop dance cover for Youtube, Instagram, or Tiktok, then I can help you with that too! I am able to help you record and edit your cover for you for an additional fee (exact amount will depend on length of cover and for which platform it is intended).

Cancellation with more than 48 hours notice: 100% refundable/no penalty
Cancellation with less than 48 but more than 24 hours notice: 50% of the lesson price will be charged
Cancellation with less than 24 hours notice: 75% of lesson price will be charged
RESCHEDULING POLICY
Lessons are unable to be rescheduled with 24 hours or less until the agreed time.
