About Matthew
Hi all,
Pleasure to meet you! My name is Matthew and I've been playing guitar and bass for 15 years. I achieved a first-class honors degree in my study of Popular Music at Napier University, where I graduated in 2014. I have been playing in bands and solo for 10 years and spread my time across the electric guitar, bass guitar, acoustic, and Spanish classical.
I actually spent the last year living in Spain teaching English, and I do believe that I learned valuable lessons there in the principles of teaching that I think can be really helpful in the teaching of guitar.
My approach to teaching is personalized, and my first priority is to get to know the needs and wants of the student. From there, my aim is to keep the lessons fun, varied and challenging.
