About Katie
I began Latin at GCSE level (A*) and went on to study it to an advanced level at university where I was awarded a First Class degree and the Slater Prize for outstanding performance in Advanced Latin. I am now studying a part-time research master's at Warwick university in Latin literature - specialising in Ovid and the comedies of Plautus and Terence.

For beginners, one-to-one lessons are preferable. Due to lockdown in London, lessons will take place online, via Zoom or another video calling platform. I have many years of experience engaging with the Latin language and can teach from absolute beginner level to degree level. Each lesson will focus on the syntax, accidence, and vocabulary of the appropriate Latin syllabus. Alternatively, for casual learners we can take it step by step to suit you! I am happy to adapt my own teaching methods. That is, if you are weaker in certain areas of the Latin language, we can focus more on those. Latin can be complex but with enough patience, it is an extremely enjoyable and rewarding language to learn. Send me a message with your availability and let's arrange a lesson!
