About Laila

Hello! My name is Laila, and I have recently completed my A-Levels in Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and AS Further Mathematics. This September, I will be starting a degree in Chemical Engineering, where I look forward to further developing my passion for maths and science.

I have valuable tutoring experience from my time at Kumon, where I worked with students aged 5–16, helping them build confidence and strengthen their mathematical skills. Alongside this, I volunteered as a chemistry tutor at my sixth form, supporting A-Level students with challenging topics and helping them prepare for their examinations.

I believe that every student has the potential to succeed with the right guidance, encouragement and approach. My lessons are tailored to each student's individual needs and learning style, creating a supportive environment where they feel comfortable asking questions, learning from mistakes and developing confidence.

Whether your goal is to improve your understanding of a topic, boost your confidence, prepare for examinations or achieve the highest grades, I will work with you to make learning engaging, enjoyable and rewarding. My aim is not only to help you achieve your academic goals, but also to develop a lasting understanding of the subject that will benefit you long after our lessons.

About the lesson

Every lesson is tailored to each student's individual goals, ability and learning style. We will focus on the topics you find most challenging, beginning with clear, step-by-step explanations before working through carefully selected practice questions. As your confidence and understanding grow, we will gradually move on to more demanding exam-style questions, helping you develop both a deeper understanding of the subject and the exam techniques required to succeed.

Lessons are typically one hour in length. I offer tuition for students aged 10–18, including 11+, GCSE, A-Level and ESAT preparation. Whether you are looking to build confidence, improve your grades or prepare for important exams, I will provide support and encouragement to help you achieve your full potential.
