About Will
I'm a recent graduate from Bristol University, having achieved First Class Honours in a Masters degree in Engineering. At university I received firsts in all maths modules and my final year project. Before uni I attended Wheatley Park School, where I achieved 3 A*'s and 1 A in A-Level Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Chemistry. At GCSE, I got 11 A*'s.
This year I'm taking some time away from education, and recently returned from a volunteering placement in Kenya where I supported local entrepreneurs with the aim of improving their businesses and business skills. In September I will start an engineering PhD at Bristol University.
I have been providing private maths tuition for some time now. Furthermore, earlier this year I worked as a tutor for Magical Maths, running and assisting with engaging after school maths clubs at schools around Bristol. The clubs are all about generating real interest in maths and making it fun for students!

My approach depends on the age, ability and personality of the student. I think it's important to target areas where students' understanding can be improved, and to explain key concepts in a simple way, providing a foundation which we can build upon using examples, exercises and exam style questions. As a recent graduate I understand the importance of practice and good exam technique, and how to find the interesting in a boring topic!
