About Karla
I worked for 2 years as a Mechanical Engineer for Fossil Power Plants. I designed pipes, pumps & valves to transport different liquids and gasses to their destinations at the right pressures, temperatures, and flow rates. I met my husband (a Structural Engineer) at work. We decided to start a family and that I would Homeschool our kids. I've Homeschooled them for 11 years in all the major subjects (plus some extra ones for fun!)
In my free time, I play a few different instruments and record my own compositions. I also can be found making a big mess in the kitchen with my cooking and baking.

Math is a language that anyone can learn. It describes true things that you already know about the world. You just need to be able to translate back and forth between math symbols and everyday language ... and learn some of the helpful tricks you can do within the math language to help you predict what will happen in the real world. That's where I can help you. I can explain in simple terms what is being said in math language and help you learn how to write it and speak it yourself.
I teach math through Calculus.
I teach through AP Physics/College Level General Physics I & II.
