About Tanya
With over 5 years of programming teaching experience, I enjoy helping middle school students understand how computers actually think. I introduce coding basics like loops, conditions, and digital patterns using colorful visuals and hands-on exercises. Many of my lessons involve short animations and simple programs that students can build themselves. I use relatable examples, such as designing a mini-game or creating a digital character that follows commands. This approach keeps learning fun and meaningful. I also guide students through safe and easy coding experiments they can try at home on free tools. My teaching style focuses on breaking bigger ideas into small, manageable steps. This helps young learners feel confident even if programming is new to them. I make sure every lesson encourages exploration and creativity. Over the years, I’ve learned how to support students who feel nervous about learning something technical. I enjoy turning that nervousness into excitement and curiosity. My programming methodology focuses on making complex topics feel simple and welcoming. I also explore areas like discrete math, computational logic, and basic automata concepts. My lessons flow slowly and clearly so students never feel overwhelmed. I work well with Visionary Maker and Quiet Thinker learners who enjoy deep explanations. They benefit from a space where questions are encouraged. I guide them gently through each challenge. We often take time to reflect on why a program works before writing any code. This helps build strong intuition. I support learners in growing their confidence step by step. With the right mindset, every coding concept becomes approachable. Join me in exploring programming in a thoughtful and meaningful way.
