About the lesson

My Approach: Real Portuguese, No Fear

My method focuses on natural, immersive learning. Instead of overwhelming you with verb charts and exhaustive grammar rules, we will learn Portuguese the way natives do: through context and real communication. I use active listening techniques, immediate yet relaxed corrections, and vocabulary expansion based on your specific interests (news, music, culture, or hobbies). My main goal is to make you feel comfortable making mistakes, because that is exactly where true fluency happens.

What Does a Typical Lesson Look Like?

No two students are the same, so my lessons are dynamic and tailored to your goals. A standard 60 minute session is broken down like this:
• The first 10 minutes: Casual warm-up conversation about your day or week (to break the ice and get your brain switching into Portuguese).
• The next 35 minutes: Focus on the topic of the day. We will look at a short article, a video, or a real-life scenario (shopping, a job interview, asking for directions). We will practice specific vocabulary and idioms that locals actually use.
• The final 15 minutes: Review of the areas where you struggled, pronunciation feedback, and setting small, practical goals for you to work on before our next session.
