About Hailey
Hi! I’m a University of Florida student on the pre-health track majoring in Psychology. I have a strong academic background in math, science, and psychology through both AP and college-level coursework. I’m passionate about helping students strengthen their understanding of core concepts, build study confidence, and connect what they learn to real-world examples.
I’ve gained experience tutoring classmates and mentoring younger students, and I always focus on breaking down complex topics in ways that are clear and relatable. My teaching style is patient, encouraging, and tailored to each student’s learning pace and goals.

My Teaching Method and Techniques:
I take a student-centered and personalized approach to tutoring, adapting each session to the learner’s goals and learning style. Whether we’re covering psychology, math, or science, I focus on identifying specific areas of difficulty and breaking them down into clear, manageable steps. My goal is to build both understanding and confidence by explaining complex topics in simple terms and connecting them to real-world examples. I use interactive discussions, visuals, and practice problems to keep lessons engaging and effective.
A Typical Lesson Plan:
Each session begins with a quick check-in to assess the student’s current understanding and goals for the day. From there, we work through the material step-by-step — reviewing key concepts, solving examples together, and discussing how to approach similar problems independently. I encourage active participation through questions and guided practice, and we always wrap up with a brief recap to reinforce the main takeaways.
