About Elisha
I am a pre-service primary teacher at ECU. I have been tutoring students ranging from years 1 to 11 for the past 3 years. I have my police clearance as well as a Working With Children Check. I am currently tutoring 6 children a week and due to my teaching knowledge gained from university, I believe I am very suited to the role and can help children reach their goals and feel confident with their learning. I have achieved my WACE and received a predicted ATAR score of 85. Due to having younger siblings, I work very well with children and ensure they feel comfortable with their tutoring experience.

I like to teach students in a variety of ways depending on their learning style and take a step-by-step approach that allows children to clearly see what is happening and understand where their answers are coming from. I also like drawing connections to the outside world. When children can apply their learning to their everyday lives, it gives them a greater understanding on what to do when it comes to tackling the question. During my first session, it would be ideal to meet with the student, alongside their parent to establish the desired outcome from our sessions. I will begin each session recapping previous work with a custom worksheet or target questions. Following this, we will work on the work at hand and conclude with an overall summary.
