About Martin

With 15 years of ESL teaching experience, I specialise in helping high school and college students improve their English proficiency, confidence, and practical communication skills. My teaching philosophy centres on personalised learning, tailoring each lesson to the student’s strengths, goals, and learning style.

I combine structured grammar and vocabulary instruction with interactive reading, writing, speaking, and listening exercises, using real-life examples to make lessons engaging and applicable.

About the lesson

I use a C³P framework—Creativity, Communication, Compassion, and Problem-solving—to make English learning engaging and meaningful. Creativity is fostered through storytelling, role-plays, and project-based activities that encourage students to explore language freely and express their ideas confidently.

Communication is central to my approach. I design lessons that emphasise speaking, listening, and interactive engagement, helping students gain fluency and confidence in practical contexts. Compassion guides my teaching philosophy; I recognise the individual learning pace of each student and tailor lessons to meet unique needs, ensuring encouragement and support throughout the journey.

Problem-solving is integrated through real-life scenarios, debates, and activities that challenge students to apply English logically and practically. This strengthens not only their language skills but also analytical and decision-making abilities.

I also offer instruction in complementary subjects such as literature, essay writing, and communication strategies to build a versatile skill set.
