About Caren
I became a student tutor whilst at university in York, and then went on to do my English PGCE at Cambridge University. Whilst working as an English teacher, I completed my MA in Contemporary Literature and have now embarked on a PhD in Education. I am available to tutor English from KS2-5 and I'm also available to tutor for the 11+ and 13+ entrance exams in English/Verbal Reasoning, with previous students getting into top private and grammar schools such as Dulwich, St. Paul’s, Sevenoaks, Queen Elizabeth and Eltham. At work, I have been responsible for delivering and developing teacher training within my department, ensuring teachers teach outstanding lessons and ensuring student progress.

My students make excellent progress, both at work and through private tuition. I have helped students achieve grades 7-9, when predicted several grades lower. I also specialise in ensuring KS2 students hit those important end of KS targets. At KS2-3 I have tutored students to pass a range of entrance exams. At KS4, all my clients have received grade 6+, with all of them making several grades of progress in less than 1 year.
