About Erin
Hi! I’m Erin, and I am currently studying Primary Education at university with the aim of becoming a primary school teacher. I am also Level 3 qualified in Early Years and have experience working with children across a range of ages.
I have always enjoyed working with children and helping them grow in confidence with their learning. Through my university placements, I have had the opportunity to plan and teach lessons, work with children individually and in small groups, and support children with a range of different learning needs.
I am a friendly, patient and positive person, and I want children to feel comfortable and supported when learning with me. I know that finding something difficult can sometimes knock a child's confidence, so I believe encouragement is just as important as developing their academic skills.
Becoming a teacher is something I am really passionate about, and tutoring gives me another opportunity to help children make progress, recognise what they are capable of and hopefully enjoy their learning along the way!

I am currently studying Primary Education at university and am also Level 3 qualified in Early Years. Alongside my studies, I have gained experience teaching and supporting children across different primary year groups through my school placements.
My lessons are friendly, engaging and tailored to each individual child. I understand that children learn in different ways, so I adapt activities and explanations to suit their needs, confidence and current level of understanding. I aim to create a relaxed and encouraging environment where children feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and having a go.
English lessons can focus on areas such as reading and comprehension, writing, spelling, grammar, vocabulary and general homework or school support. I can also provide additional support with areas a child may be finding difficult at school or help them build their confidence in English more generally.
A typical lesson will include a short starter to revisit previous learning, focused teaching and explanation, supported practice and an opportunity for the child to apply what they have learnt independently. Lessons will always be adapted depending on the child's age, ability and individual needs.
My lessons are aimed at primary-aged children across KS1 and KS2, whether they need some extra support, additional challenge or simply a confidence boost with their English.
