About Rohith

I am devoted to helping students succeed with an aspiration to inspire young people since they are the future. Having excellent qualifications in mathematics and teaching experience, I am dedicated to going the extra mile for pupils to foster an engaging environment.

About the lesson

Recent graduate in mathematics. I look forward to building a good rapport with students whilst tailoring my teaching for them, specific to their exam board. I cover what the recipient wants me to, ensuring we practise on what they find difficult. I know other tutors that would not listen to the students' needs, so they may cover what the student is already confident on for too long. We will also do plenty of exam questions. The students will be encouraged to teach what they know because teaching is the number 1 way to understand a subject (speaking from experience). Typically we will start with a length of 1 hour but if the student or parent desires we could increase it. I tutor the complete syllabuses from primary school to A-level maths. My relevant qualifications held: GCSE Maths A* A level Maths A* A level Further Maths A Bachelors Honours degree 2.1 in Mathematics and Statistics from Durham University. Durham University is ranked the 4th best university in the UK for mathematics out of over 150 universities. Worked for Kumon at 16 where I marked work and helped struggling students. Mentored younger pupils during A-levels. One instance when I was helping a student in year 9 with trigonometry. Collaborated on online interactive whiteboards with other university students during sessions called tutorials (assisted by a tutor) where we work through problems sheets together. This includes problems from numerous modules such as probability, calculus, linear algebra, statistics, mathematical physics and analysis in separate timetabled slots.

In the end he achieved a 2:1 degree, with his best marks in Probability, Mathematical Physics, and Analysis in Many Variables. I think he could be a good tutor for older students learning more advanced mathematics.
