About Eleanor
As previously mentioned, I'm a primary school teacher and been in this role for the past 5 years. I have a master's in Education Policy and currently working towards signing on to a PhD.
Throughout teaching, I base it all in fun. I believe we have to have a giggle and a bit of fun along the way. This also helps to make learning memorable for children. I ensure that learning is understood before moving on and ensure learning is built upon a solid foundation of prior knowledge.

Being a teacher, I use a range of teaching techniques and styles to ensure learning is embedded and scaffolded so knowledge can be linked to prior understanding. I am patient, enthusiastic and ready to make learning as fun as possible!
Lessons are between 50- 60 minutes in length and will planned with a sequence. This ensures the previous lesson can be revised before we move on.
At the moment, I am teaching in Year 5 for the second year. I have been a supply teacher in the past whilst studying for my master's degree.Last year, to help with COVID recovery, I ran a small tutor group. I'll draw on this experience too!
My lessons are aimed for children in the primary phase (suitable 8-11).
