My name is Brodie, and I’m a positive, enthusiastic, and nurturing teacher who is passionate about helping students become the very best version of themselves. I believe that every student has unique strengths, and my goal is to support and guide you in unlocking your full potential—academically and personally. I also incorporate: - Active recall and spaced repetition to enhance memory retention. - Real-world applications to make abstract concepts more engaging and relevant. - Visual aids and analogies to explain difficult topics in a clear, relatable way. - Formative assessments like quizzes or discussions to monitor progress and adapt the pace as needed. Typical Length of a Lesson: - Lessons typically last 50 minutes, which I find is the optimal length for maintaining focus while covering substantial content. However, for younger students or more intensive subjects, I can adjust to 30-, 45-, or 90-minute sessions based on need and attention span. Qualifications and Experience as a Tutor: - I have my Bachelor of Education (Primary) and whilst I haven't had experience tutoring, I have had over a year's experience teaching in primary school post grad. I stay updated with current curricula and pedagogical best practices due to my profession as a primary school teacher. Who the Lessons Are For: - School-aged students (ages 6–12) needing support in core subjects. I tailor each lesson to the learner’s goals, whether it’s improving grades, preparing for exams, or deepening understanding.
