About DESPOINA

I am currently working as a primary school teacher in Athens and I have a working and volunteering experience both in formal and non-formal educational contexts around Greece (Child's Smile & Noesis "Science Centre).

Strong educational background:

-Batchelor's Degree with Honours (9.16-excellent) in Pedagogy (National and Kapodistrian University of Athens),

-Postgraduate Diploma with Honours (9.3-excellent) in Language for refugees and migrants (Hellenic Open University),

-Postgraduate Diploma in Special Education (University of Nicosia)

About the lesson

My lessons are based on encouragement and I always try to make them a fun procedure, through which students will learn by playing and by getting them involved. New technologies and digital tools are also, part of my teaching method. My students discover and co-construct knowledge. Every student has their own goals and strengths, which are the grounds for my motivation and the key for my teaching design.
