About Sophia

Kia Ora,

I’m Sophia and I live in the lower North Island. I really love living in Aotearoa because we have the best of all worlds. I enjoy travelling, being out in nature and relaxing at home. I enjoy teaching because I see education as a magic key, no matter who you are, you have access to this magic key. It’s up to you what you do with it.

About the lesson

Kia Ora,

As a Primary School Teacher, I bring a blend of expertise, patience, and dedication to fostering a supportive learning environment. My strong grasp of both subjects English and Maths, as well as the New Zealand Curriculum, enables me to break down concepts into understandable segments. I understand that building a strong relationship with each student is crucial; it establishes trust and encourages open communication, which are essential for effective learning. By adopting an individual learning approach, I tailor my teaching methods to suit each student's learning style and pace, ensuring that they not only grasp the material but also develop confidence in their abilities. I hope
to foster a love for learning that extends both in and out of the classroom.

Nga Mihi,
Sophia
