Hello, my name is Jess.

I am a 2019 graduate from MLC School Burwood in Sydney.
I scored a mark of 42 in the IB Diploma (ATAR: 99.25). My subjects include HL English, Biology, Business and SL Chemistry, Mathematics and Ab initio Italian. I am now currently studying a Bachelor of Medical Studies & Doctor of Medicine at Bond University.
Depending on what the student is learning and their current syllabus, I can help to address any areas they are struggling with or refine skills they want to work on. I would be interested in helping primary school students with their school projects/homework, or focus on a specific subject including Maths, English or Science.
Having 3 years experience in primary school private tutoring, peer tutoring in high school, as well as being a coach in diving and gymnastics, I have interacted with many students of different learning abilities. This has taught me to adapt my teaching techniques to suit the needs of various students, adopt an uplifting and encouraging attitude, and most importantly, be patient.
My sessions are flexible and can be discussed with the student and parent regarding the length of a session.
Overall, during our tutoring sessions I aim to create a positive learning experience, and tailor the lessons depending on the student's learning style, while keeping the lessons fun, engaging and hands on. Moreover, I will help the student develop their own studying skills and habits that they can continue to use throughout their school years.
