About Jeremy
I am a passionate musician and teacher with two Master’s degrees (Orchestral Conducting from McGill University and Violin Performance from UBC), a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance from UBC, and an ARCT Piano Performance Diploma from the Royal Conservatory of Music. I have taught at Semiahmoo Academy, Sound Direction School of Music, Tom Lee Music, and with many private students of all ages and levels. My students consistently achieve outstanding exam results and receive high praise from parents, colleagues, and program directors. With extensive performance experience in solo competitions, chamber music, and orchestral settings, I strive to share not only technical skills but also a genuine love of music, helping each student grow with confidence and joy.

I design each theory lesson around the student’s individual needs and goals, whether that means learning the basics of note identification, preparing for RCM exams, or exploring advanced topics like harmony and composition. My approach balances clarity and creativity, ensuring that students not only understand the fundamentals but also see how theory connects to real music-making. Lessons are suitable for beginners discovering the building blocks of music, as well as advanced students aiming to deepen their compositional or analytical skills.
