About Evelyne
My name is Evelyne Vivies and I am a bilingual English teacher with a wealth of experience living and teaching in the United States. From a young age, I have been immersed in English culture and language, which allows me to now transmit this knowledge with authenticity and passion.
My background is marked by years of practice as a teacher and interpreter, notably for the regional court of Guadeloupe, which has refined my mastery of English in formal and demanding contexts. This experience allows me to provide my students with solid expertise, adapted to their specific needs, whether to improve their everyday conversation, prepare for an exam, or master more technical English.
As a teacher, I am committed to providing a caring and motivating learning environment. I strive to understand the goals of each of my students to build tailor-made courses that respect their pace and aspirations. My approach is both structured and flexible, allowing for effective progress while adapting to individual needs.

As a private English teacher, my approach is focused on a personalized and interactive approach, adapted to the specific needs of each student. Here is an overview of my method and my course flow:
1. Teaching Techniques and Methods
My teaching approach is based on language immersion and active practice. I use communicative methods that encourage students to express themselves in English from the beginning, with a balance between oral comprehension, written expression, and grammar. Each lesson begins with a short exchange in English to get the student in the mood. We then review the points seen previously to consolidate what has been learned. 3. Specificities as a Teacher
My bilingual experience, having lived in the United States since the age of 7, gives me a deep understanding of cultural and linguistic nuances. I have also served as an interpreter for the Regional Court of Guadeloupe, which enriches my ability to convey legal and formal English skills when needed.
