About Oceana

Acting Coaching with Oceana Dix

Hi, I’m Oceana — a Toronto-based actor, singer, and performance coach with a Master’s degree in Musical Theatre and over 15 years of experience on stage and in performance training.

I work with actors, performers, and artists who want to deepen their craft, build confidence, and bring more authenticity to their work.

My background includes professional theatre, musical performance, and film work through my production company, Camp on Fire Productions. I’ve performed internationally in productions such as Spring Awakening, A Little Night Music, and Next to Normal, and I collaborate with artists connected to projects like Schitt’s Creek, Kim’s Convenience, and Star Trek: Strange New Worlds.

Alongside my artistic career, I’m also a certified life coach. This allows me to support actors not only with technique, but with the mental and emotional tools needed to perform honestly and sustainably.

As a transgender performer, I also create spaces where Queer and trans actors can explore identity and storytelling in a supportive environment. Many of my students come to me because they want a coach who understands the intersection of artistry, vulnerability, and self-expression.

Whether you’re preparing for auditions, developing your craft, or exploring acting for the first time, I’m here to help you grow as a performer.

Lessons are available in Toronto or online worldwide.

Acting Coaching for Film, Theatre & Performance

Acting isn’t just about memorizing lines. It’s about understanding human behavior, emotional truth, and how to bring a character fully to life.

In our sessions, we work on:

• script and character analysis
• emotional accessibility and authenticity
• audition preparation (including self-tapes)
• voice and movement for actors
• stage presence and confidence

My teaching draws from major acting approaches such as Stanislavski, Meisner, and Alexander Technique, while also incorporating my background in vocal training and performance psychology.

He is the best tutor that you can wish for. He gets his job seriously and invests on his students. He has structure and plan during his lessons. The important thing about his lessons is, with the seriousness of the work he always stays super nice and approachable. When he teaches it seems everything flows for him and seamless lessons shows his professionalism and abilities.
