About Katherine
Worlds of excitement and adventure await your learner as they learn to read! I'm thrilled for the opportunity to work with your learner through this fun and educational adventure. I have a degree in secondary education from Pensacola Christian College, and have spent the last 15 years teaching as follows: one year in a private school, 9 years in my private piano studio, and many years in my own homeschool.
If your learner is ready for the next step in their reading skills, I'm ready to help them! Meet me in my online classroom for laughs, smiles, encouragement, attention to detail, and concept mastery.

Let's practice reading together! Our first class will be to meet each other, assess your educational status and goals, and set-up a plan moving forward. If your learner is ready for blends, we'll practice blend ladders. We can also add to those blends and create CVC and CVCe words. Listening games are great ways to learn! Can your learner identify the vowel they hear in the spoken word "cup"? Let's work on it together! Special sounds and sight word practice are available for the more advanced beginning stages of reading.
