About Thierry
I take my role as a tutor very seriously and approach every class with professionalism, structure, and care. I have prior experience teaching both Portuguese and English to students from different backgrounds and age groups, and I always adapt my lessons to each student’s goals and learning style.
My background in bilingual education, combined with my experience living and working in both Brazil and the United States, allows me to offer clear explanations, accurate pronunciation, and practical, real-life language use. I am organized, punctual, and committed to creating a respectful and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable making progress at their own pace.

Born and raised in São Paulo, Brazil, I am a native Portuguese speaker currently based in New York, where I work as a professional ballet dancer and model.
I have experience teaching Portuguese to foreign children and English to Brazilian students of different ages. I attended a bilingual school in Brazil and completed several years of formal English studies at Wizard Language School, which gave me a strong foundation in both languages.
My classes are beginner-friendly, dynamic, and adapted to each student’s goals, focusing on clear communication, confidence, and practical everyday language.
