About Mark
I have been a writing instructor at the University of California, Riverside from five years. My undergraduate degree is in English from Temple University where I graduated from the Honors College and became a member of Phi Beta Kappa. In graduate school, I was the first laureate of the Cité Internationale des Arts for music history. For over a year, I worked in the private sector as senior copywriter and technical writer.
I have myriad experiences as a teacher, editor, and writer. My education and experiences will help you gain the skills and confidence in your own writing.

I work with you to reach your goals with your writing and then I structure a plan based on writing methods, specifically from Eric Hayot's notion of the Uneven U, and grammar and style based on readings from the Chicago Manual of Style, Dreyer's English, and Strunk & White. I also help strategize your cover letter and resume to make it through pesky ATS filters.
I work with any level of writer, from professional to young student.
