About Andrew
I am a Chemical Engineer. I have worked with the Department of Defense with chemical weapons, the Department of Energy with molten-salt Nuclear Reactors, and manufacturing for nutraceuticals. I have been a consultant for the last 4 years and helped get the manufacturing set up for medical diagnosis devices.
In order to get this degree and have so many work opportunities I had to take a lot of math and chemistry classes. These ranged from basic algebra and chemistry, up to graduate level differential equation and physical chemistry classes. Having spent a lot of time in the class room and on the production floor I have found a well rounded approach to help students succeed.

My lessons are focused on bringing struggling students to the top of their class. Here is how I have been able to accomplish this:
1. Find understanding gaps
2. Walk students through an example problem
3. Assist the student through multiple problems
- Each consecutive problem is more challenging until we reach a level that is slightly above what they are learning in their class
4. Leave other problems with the student so that they can practice in their own time and have more questions to ask in a following training.
I have found through this method that the majority of learning and improvement occurs when the student is working through things hands-on. When students are able to build a solid knowledge base during these sessions, they are able to stay on top of their grades and classes. They generally only need my assistance for a couple of sessions until they excel.
