About Nabil
I’m a professional chemist who has worked the past 15 years in the pharmaceutical industry. My primary focus was the development of new drugs to combat various diseases. My experience is from preclinical through commercialization so I have seen almost the entire drug discovery process. I have been fortunate to see three products go from research to commercial products.
I have a great love of chemistry and want share that passion with students who might not appreciate all chemistry does for society. Chemistry can be an arduous field, but I believe when one discovers how the theory applies to the real world, learning becomes more enjoyable and less daunting. Unfortunately these days teaching of the sciences has tended focus solely on theory until later during educational advancement; however, students lose interest by that time. I believe early illustration of concepts is key to learning and sparking appreciate of vast opportunities in the chemical field.

I believe illustration of theory is the best way to learn and understand chemistry. My work in the laboratory through undergraduate, graduate, and professionally tied the knowledge I gained in books to application and secured concepts in my kind. I was always drawn to science, but “saw” molecules in action from laboratory work. I plan to incorporate demonstrations with discussions to show a topic come to life. The are so many experiments that are available and easily setup. I truly feel it is the best way to “connect the dots” and secure a concept to memory.
