I offer structured and engaging chess and checkers lessons designed for beginners and intermediate players who want to improve their game and build strong strategic thinking skills. My teaching approach focuses on explaining concepts clearly, helping students understand the reasoning behind every move rather than simply memorizing patterns.
During a typical lesson, we begin by reviewing basic principles such as piece coordination, opening development, and board control. From there, we work through practical examples, puzzles, and guided gameplay to strengthen tactical awareness and strategic planning. I also analyze games with students to help them recognize mistakes and improve decision-making.
My lessons are designed to build confidence, patience, and analytical thinking while making the learning process enjoyable. Whether a student is just starting or looking to sharpen their skills, my goal is to help them become a stronger and more thoughtful player with every lesson.
