About Anthony

I’m a professional dancer with a diverse background in both classical and contemporary work. I trained at San Francisco Ballet and have performed with companies including San Francisco Ballet, Cincinnati Ballet, InverseDance, and currently with the Peridance Contemporary Dance Company. I’ve had the opportunity to guest for companies and festivals across Europe, which has helped shape me into a versatile and open-minded artist. Teaching has become one of the most fulfilling parts of my career. I love helping dancers understand their bodies, find confidence in their technique, and discover their own artistic voice. I bring a patient, encouraging energy to every session, and I genuinely enjoy working with dancers of all levels — whether someone is training seriously, returning to dance after time away, or simply looking to move and feel good. My goal is always to make students feel supported, inspired, and excited to grow!

About the lesson

My approach is encouraging, detail-oriented, and designed to bring out each student’s individual potential. I work with dancers of all levels — from complete beginners to working professionals — and I tailor each session to your goals, whether that’s building strong fundamentals, refining advanced technique, or exploring movement as a creative outlet.

Ballet lessons typically begin with a refined barre to establish alignment, coordination, and clean technique, followed by center work focused on balance, musicality, and clarity of movement. For contemporary, I start with body-isolation warmups, spine mobility, and grounding exercises to help you move with greater connection and ease. I often incorporate light improvisation to explore texture and quality before teaching a phrase. Lessons can be from one hour up to an hour and a half based on your preference.

My background spans both classical and contemporary work, giving me a wide foundation to draw from. I’ve performed highly technical pieces as well as abstract, research-based choreography, and that range allows me to help dancers apply technique to their artistry while becoming more versatile movers. I bring a calm, positive energy to every session and genuinely enjoy guiding students at every stage of their dance journey.

My lessons are open to anyone — all ages, all experience levels, and all reasons for dancing! Whether you’re training seriously or simply want to move and grow, I’m committed to providing thoughtful, supportive, and high-quality instruction. No matter your experience level or reason for dancing, I aim to create a space where you feel supported, challenged in a healthy way, and genuinely excited to grow. My hope is that you leave each session feeling more confident in your technique, more connected to your artistry, and simply happy to be moving!
