About Marta R
With extensive experience sharing dance with students of different abilities and backgrounds, Marta offers her expertise teaching street dance, commercial and contemporary. Training first in hip hop styles to later discover contemporary dance and ballet, she learnt, amongst others, from Nito Solsona, Brodas, Junior Almeida, Eva Bertomeu and Gustavo Ramirez. Since moving to London she continues to develop her practice which has included learning tango and capoeira and travels often to LA to expand her knowledge. She works as a freelance dance artist and teacher and has been member of several companies and interdisciplinary collectives among which Alias LDN, I=We/Untold and Instigate Unknown (current). Her style is defined by fluid floor work and surprising dynamics which she likes to incorporate in her creations. Other credits include: IUtBF film, Invisible Dances LDN, Open Art Surgery, Outrageous Behaviour, GDIF, Move It main stage, Paul Oakenfold, 7 Days 7 Causes, Blackberry.

My classes are relaxed, fun and challenging, as I give my students the tools to grow and soak in all aspects of dance be it as art or as a social activity, offering a supportive environment that builds on creativity, playfulness and excellence. I like to focus on foundation and technique as the basis of both performance, creativity and choreography but also simply on the feeling and the very essence of dance. I hold an enhanced DBS and teaching certifications: Rambert Grades 1-8 and Hip Hop Instructor Diploma (CYM) I will be teaching group elementary level Street Dance classes from September in London, Waterloo area, a great way to learn the foundations and style of street dance and urban choreography! What makes Marta a trustworthy tutor is her knowledge and open-minded approach to dancing and teaching, which I believe comes from years of studies and on-going practice, as well as from a strong personal work she does as an individual.
Her attitude towards any given job is highly professional; she has the ability to focus on details while maintaining sight of the big picture.
Having worked with her on several occasions, choreographing and overseeing routines for music videos, I can only recommend her both as a teacher and choreographer to others.
You won't be disappointed!
I’ve been working with here on different projects for over 8 years and she has great technical knowledge and knows how to transfer that whether it’s to advanced or beginner students. Her classes are always fun and always brings new ways of practicing choreo, technique, style etc

Details
Cancellation policy: any cancellations done with less than 24 hours will be charged 100% of the fee. Cancellations with less than 48 hours will be charged at 50% of the fee. A rearrangement will be offered if possible within the frame of 2 days. I can also teach the classes in Spanish.
