About Gemma
With 6 years of experience teaching young children, teenagers, and adults, I am super patient and non-judgmental. That said, I am very particular and will push you to get every step as close to perfect as possible. Perfection doesn’t exist, but what I love about dance is the crossroads of very specific technique, and completely open creativity. In my opinion, the technique has to come first, and that gives you the movement vocabulary and body control to be able to explore creatively.

Hey there! I’m Gemma! I began my dance training at the tender age of 2, and continued throughout my entire childhood and adolescence, and began teaching at 14. Now as an adult, I work as a professional dancer in the film/tv industry and in musical theatre. Although I love performance work, teaching has always been a huge passion of mine. My lessons typically consist of a full body stretch and conditioning warm up, review of technique fundamentals, progressive exploration of varied movement types and more advanced technical skills, and classic or original choreography. I mold each lesson to every student’s individual needs, goals, and skill set.
