About Stephanie

My aim is to inspire confidence, establish credibility, and assure students and families of a high standard of professionalism from the outset. I communicate with clarity, precision, and attention to detail, ensuring that all written and instructional materials reflect a strong command of language and purpose. I recognize that first impressions are important, and I approach every interaction with consistency, respect, and a commitment to excellence in both instruction and communication.

About the lesson

My teaching approach is systematic, structured, and individualised, with a strong focus on literacy development and reading proficiency. Instruction is grounded in evidence-based practices and designed to support diverse learners, including students with learning differences and reading challenges. With over 20 years of experience and a Master’s degree in Special Education, I specialise in breaking complex literacy skills into clear, teachable steps that build accuracy, fluency, and comprehension. Lessons incorporate targeted phonics and decoding instruction, vocabulary development, comprehension strategies, and multisensory supports, all tailored to each learner’s needs. I work with elementary, middle school, high school, and adult learners, including students with IEPs, 504 plans, dyslexia, ADHD, and language-based learning differences. My goal is not only to improve reading skills but to build confidence, independence, and lasting academic success.
