Eli is amazing. He has such a vast set of experiences, perfect for helping any student... including me. It's rare to find one person whose works include comic book illustration, corporate branding, web design, portraits, logos & more.
Background: I had dabbled in PhotoShop for years, as a hobby, but often I'd get stuck. I needed someone who could look over my shoulder and guide me.
Then I began lessons with Eli, and immediately I knew he had the ideal balance of know-how and patience. Yes, Eli taught me PhotoShop; but at the same time, he taught me how to see, how to draw, how to tell a story, and eventually how to manage a complicated PhotoShop project. Importantly, while he always had a lesson plan for each session, Eli also was flexible to focus the learning on me, my needs, and my pace.
Eli helps me both in-person and remotely. Sometimes he just checks-in, to see how I'm doing on a PhotoShop assignment. He's always available to answer a question - phone call, text, whatever. Best thing about Eli: he has a genuine passion for illustration. Very inspiring!
