About Bobbie

| Pro Guitar & Piano
B.A. in Advanced Jazz
20+ years
Teaching the architecture of Harmony

My teaching style caters to my students, I am relentless at helping you find the key to unlock your ability and musical language from beginners to pros

About the lesson

As an Advanced Jazz Graduate, my goal is to simplify the complex.
I don't just teach songs; I teach the 'why' behind the notes.

What we will cover:
- Modern Jazz Harmony (7b5, altered scales, extensions)
- The Art of Improvisation: Moving beyond scales into melodic storytelling
- Technical Mastery: Efficiency and hand independence
- Re-harmonization: How to take a basic Pop song and make it sound like Bill Evans

Whether you are a classical player looking to 'unlock' the keyboard or a
producer wanting better chords for your tracks, I provide a structured,
degree-level curriculum tailored to your goals.

I used to take bass lessons from him in the Church Curriculum, and I always tell him when I run into him, "You’re the person who made me understand that I have the 'key' this entire time," and he’s helped me tremendously to unlock the music within me. I wouldn’t recommend any better teacher than him, that is, if you actually desire to achieve. He doesn't mess around.

I met Bobby in church, and that’s how we both know each other. He first started teaching my son, but then I saw such great results with my son that I thought, why don’t I give it a try? I thought I would never be able to start learning piano or learning to sing at this age, but just the way Bobby does his teaching, it’s impossible for you not to understand. I’m not just saying this, but he really is an incredible teacher.
