Want to learn Tagalog in a way that feels natural, meaningful, and enjoyable?
I’m a licensed teacher and experienced Tagalog tutor who helps foreigners develop practical Tagalog skills through conversation, storytelling, and Filipino culture.
My teaching style goes beyond memorizing vocabulary and grammar rules. I use Tagalog stories, Filipino myths, folktales, everyday situations, and cultural experiences as a way to introduce new words, expressions, sentence patterns, and natural conversations.
What makes my lessons different?
Instead of simply giving you lists of words to memorize, we can learn Tagalog through an interesting Filipino story. As we read and discuss the story, you’ll naturally learn:
• Useful Tagalog vocabulary and expressions• Sentence structure and grammar in context• Natural Filipino pronunciation• Everyday conversational phrases• Filipino idioms and expressions• Cultural meanings behind words and traditions• How Filipinos actually communicate in daily life
For example, we might explore a Filipino folktale and use it to practice describing people, telling stories, expressing emotions, asking questions, and sharing opinions in Tagalog.
I also create practical lessons based on real-life situations such as ordering food, shopping, traveling, riding public transportation, asking for directions, meeting Filipino friends, and having everyday conversations.
My goal is not only to teach you Tagalog, but to help you understand the Filipino way of communicating and connect with Filipino culture.
