About Drew

I am an able professional engineer, having graduated with a solid first class in Mechanical Engineering (Masters - MEng) followed by an MSc (by Research) in Aerodynamics at the prestigious Cranfield University. Prior to these qualifications, I obtained an A in both GSCE and A-level Mathematics. I have a passion for engineering and maths paired with a strong command of the English language to deliver clear and concise content. In addition, I am able to draw upon two years experience of being tutored privately for maths, alongside experience tutoring in maths and mechanical engineering at various levels to deliver impactful lessons.

Brilliance in a subject starts early on, hence it is important to teach clearly and efficiently to provide the confidence and foundation to succeed. I would be more than happy to assist with maths from early years up to AS & A2, and in formal and design report writing, computational fluid dynamics (CFD) or aerodynamics.

About the lesson

By tailoring lessons to both the individual and topic, my lessons provide manageable chunks for you to gain valuable knowledge, allowing confidence to be built alongside subject matter. A sense of achievement is felt moving forward through setting SMART objectives (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-constrained), as motivation is essential for effective learning.

Rapport is crucial in a teaching environment, therefore patience is key. I am not afraid to attempt different teaching techniques to make each tailored lesson as accessible as possible. I look forward to seeing how you learn and adapting to what is best for you, whether that involves a visual approach or specifically tailored questions for example.
