About Paul
Hello there! I am Paul Assioglou and I come from Thessaloniki, Greece. My passion for music and specifically for eastern music led me to study oud and other oriental instruments (byzantine lute and saz) in Arta University of Greece.

I give lessons to people interested in learning the oud and byzantine lute, with the background of Greek, Iraqi, Turkish, Armenian & Arabic idioms.
I also teach Maqam Theory to anyone interested in exploring this spiritually interesting music theory of the east. All instruments are welcome! Preferably: oud, violin, qanun, lute, ney, cello, viola etc... due to the fact that they can play in between semitones! ;-)
