About Cassian
With over a 21 years of Piano teaching experience, I have worked with students from school, college, and professional backgrounds. My focus is to make piano learning structured, enjoyable, and effective while helping students build confidence, discipline, and a lifelong love for music.
My teaching philosophy emphasises patience, clarity, and individualised guidance. I focus on developing strong fundamentals such as hand posture, finger technique, rhythm, sight reading, and music theory. At the same time, I encourage creativity, self-expression, and musical enjoyment. Lessons are explained in simple English, supported by exercises, familiar songs, and demonstrations to make learning engaging and effective.
I tailor lessons according to the student’s age, skill level, and goals. For children, lessons are fun and interactive to maintain motivation. For adults and professionals, sessions are structured, goal-oriented, and flexible to fit schedules. Many of my students have performed confidently in school and college events, passed graded exams, and continued piano as a lifelong hobby. Helping students grow musically and personally is the most rewarding part of my teaching.

My teaching methodology is centred on compassion, supportiveness, and effective communication. I believe learning works best when students feel motivated, understood, and supported in a positive environment. In piano lessons, I focus on both technical skill-building and creative expression, helping students gain confidence and enjoy music.
I break down lessons into clear, manageable steps, provide demonstrations, and encourage active participation, questions, and experimentation. Constructive feedback and positive reinforcement help students stay motivated and inspired.
I also teach other relevant subjects using the same adaptable, student-focused approach, making lessons interactive, engaging, and meaningful. My goal is to help students grow academically and creatively, develop confidence, and enjoy a lifelong journey of learning, self-expression, and discovery.
