About Louie
Hi, I’m Louie – a professional keyboardist, jazz pianist, and passionate music educator with years of live performance and studio experience. I specialise in jazz, soul, pop, and funk, and I love helping students unlock their creativity and confidence on the keys. Whether you're just starting out, working on your Grade 5 theory, or looking to dive into jazz improvisation or advanced harmony, I tailor lessons to suit you. I believe music should be inspiring, fun, and a true reflection of your personality – and I bring that vibe to every session. I'm currently working on a new jazz-fusion album, perform regularly around the UK, and playing the main stage of Kendal Calling 2025. I also offer online sessions, feedback on your playing, and support between lessons to keep you progressing. Let’s make music make sense – and most of all, make it fun. My lessons are completely tailored to you – your goals, your pace, and your musical taste. Whether you’re a total beginner or an experienced player looking to level up, I offer a relaxed but focused environment where you can grow as a musician. We can work on anything from learning your favourite songs to jazz improvisation, music theory, ear training, composing, or prepping for gigs or exams. I like to keep things creative, practical, and fun. I’ll help you build strong fundamentals while also encouraging your unique musical voice. You’ll not only learn how to play – you’ll understand why things work, and how to use that to create your own sound. Lessons are available in person or online, and I also offer support between sessions if you ever need a quick bit of help or motivation. Let’s get you playing with confidence and joy – wherever you are on your musical journey.

I aim to keep lessons affordable and accessible while still offering high-quality, personalised teaching. £25 for a 1-hour lesson £15 for a 30-minute lesson You’re welcome to book either format depending on your schedule and goals — 30-minute sessions can be great for younger students or beginners, while full hour lessons allow more time to go in-depth with technique, theory, and creative work. Your first lesson is free, so we can get to know each other and tailor everything to your needs.
