The PSAT is a great tool that forecasts the types of math problems my young students will encounter on the SAT.
One of the most impactful actions that I take as a teacher is instilling confidence. This is especially true for my younger students. When preparing them for this exam, they sometimes wonder, "Why do these questions feel so familiar?" And this is when I must confess that all of those dreaded "word problems " that we practiced were actually questions from standardized testing events.
