About Brodie
I am a professional Bassist and Guitarist. I first picked up the guitar at age 11 and have hardly put it down since.
I have gigged with bands and artists from the age of 18, and run a jam tent that plays at small festivals across the UK. Jams and improv are a deep passion of mine as they allow musicians to express and explore their instruments in safe and supportive environments, and can provide an unparalleled level of fulfilment.
I want to teach as I believe playing music has incredible benefits to one's emotional well-being and satisfaction. When learning and playing alone in my room, the guitar and bass have provided an escapism and personal experience not equalled by any other hobby. When playing live and with others, there has been no feeling quite like standing on a stage with a group of fellow musicians and working together as a unit to make beautiful noises. I want to offer these experiences to other people.

My lessons are personalised to my student's taste and ability, to promote passion and expression for guitar or bass. I will teach the core rudiments and techniques of either instrument, alongside music theory, in an engaging and suitable way.
As a professional musician, I have met musicians of all calibres and found that there is one quality that separates the good from the excellent, enjoyment. With a wide range of styles and genres under my belt, I can tailor my lessons to the styles and genres my students feel drawn to, with hopes of fostering enjoyment at learning and honing their craft.
Learning an instrument can be a fulfilling and lifelong hobby or profession, my aim is to enable it.
