About Joel
I am a professional live and studio pianist that has worked in various studios and church environments as a musical director. I have also taught school rock, pop and jazz bands which has built bands into national competition winners. Along with group music, I have tutored private lessons with students of various ages and musical backgrounds. I have classical and jazz piano training with formal qualifications. This has lead me to win multiple national competitions in piano and vocal categories.

I am a classically trained pianist with a grade 8 in piano and grade 6 in musical theory through the Trinity College of London. My teaching methodology adapts with the student's and parent's preferences. If the student is just trying to enjoy playing piano, I will teach in a way to make lessons fun and build the students interest in music. If the student is looking to do exams and take music seriously, I will approach the student with a training program and the necessary lessons in order to achieve their goal. I base my methodology on my teaching experience with various age groups and my multiple teachers over the years.
