About Rebekka
Hi, I'm Rebekka! I'm a professional sewing and fashion design instructor and fashion designer based in Los Angeles, and a native Mandarin speaker.
For over 10 years, I've taught sewing at Joann, where I developed curriculum and worked with students of every level — from absolute beginners threading a machine for the first time to advanced sewists creating their own garments. My teaching style is patient, encouraging, and hands-on: I break every technique down into clear, manageable steps so you leave each lesson with real, usable skills.
I'm also a working fashion designer and a graduate of FIDM in business management, so I bring real industry knowledge into my lessons — from pattern drafting and garment construction to the business side of fashion for students dreaming of launching their own line.
Whether you want to sew as a creative hobby, make your own wardrobe, or build professional fashion skills, I'll meet you where you are and help you grow with confidence. I speak English and Mandarin fluently and love working with students from all backgrounds. Let's create something wonderful together!

My lessons cover everything from machine basics, fabric selection, and pattern reading to garment construction, alterations, and fashion design fundamentals. A graduate of FIDM in business management and a working fashion designer, I bring real industry insight into every session.
