About Inam ul

I am a Software Engineer, currently working as a co-founder at a startup. I also built AI systems as a backend and AI developer.

I love to share my knowledge; with that passion, I taught the CS106A course at Stanford three times. I also taught Generative AI to underprivileged students as a trainer, served as a mentor, and as a hackathon judge.

In my free time, I read/listen to something useful on the internet, watch documentaries on wildlife, nature, interests geo politics and loves catching fishes. Sometimes I also play games for fun.

About the lesson

I believe teaching is not just about delivering the lesson and having a few questions and answers, and the class is done.

In my way, I think first setting up the norms and an environment where the student feels not just a student who is listening to his teacher; instead, they should feel like a leader who is thinking, asking questions, sharing ideas, even if those are wrong.

So I am there to guide and ask follow-up questions.

Let me tell my actual story: I taught Python programming CS106A course at Stanford to diverse students from diverse backgrounds.

I used my approach to cover topics in the first few minutes, then focus all on the problem we are solving that day. So I do not solve the problem; I create space where all students are thinking, sharing their ideas, and also giving follow-ups on each other's ideas, even those who stay quiet at the start.

I am there to guide, clarify concepts while solving the problem; I do not just solve the problem but also guide how it should be engineered.

When I cover topics to make it easier to understand, I give them a real-life analogy so they understand, and rest of the problem-solving the students do.

I made sure first to understand the situation and deliver accordingly to solidify the pain point of the student.
