About Guor

I am a very outgoing guy and passionate in what I do. I consider myself as a people person and I like to help those who are in need. In fact, this is probably part of the reason why I choose to tutor, because I believe it's an honor to serve young people with the knowledge you have gained, so that, they too, could benefit from it.

I graduated from Iowa State University in 2011 with B.S in Chemistry. While I was in college, I tutored for two years in Calculus I, 2, General chemistry 1, 2, and organic chemistry 1, 2. It was a great experience and I did really enjoy it. I learned from the subjects, as well from my students. I Also learned that being smart in a subject sometimes doesn't always translates well to students. You must know how to explain a topic (s) or concept(s) to a micro level, by using simple terms and scale up terminologies as learning progresses.

I have been a tutor since 2012 and I have worked with more than 1000 students across the US, Canada, and overseas. Some of the company I tutored for are: WyzAnt, Varsity tutors, A-Plus tutor, and Coconino community college in Flagstaff, AZ, USA.

Great Chemical reactions tutor
We discussed the 4 types of chemical reactions, redox equations, polarity, and soluble vs insoluable molecules. He did a very well discussion and provided very clear examples, as well as provide a simple quiz to confirm I understood the material. Very well thought out and planned.
